About Da’Keisha Bryant

“Pack your bags, I’m sending you to California!” These are the words that Actress, Singer and Model, Da’Keisha Bryant can still remember her Father saying to her over the phone before her move to the big city. Never one to shy away from an opportunity, Da’Keisha has been gracing stages from the time she could walk and talk. At age twelve she started receiving compensation for her stage time. From church plays to shows she exhibited not only the passion for acting, but also her undeniable talent as well.

With two tours of The Color Purple under her belt, along with acting roles/features in ‘The Cupboard Presents, Kaidydid Productions, Pussy Willows, This is Us, Have a Nice Flight and a film called 4/21’ Da’Keisha is no stranger to hard work and perseverance. She has also sang background for Fantasia Taylor at The Super bowl Gospel Explosion and served as the Costume Stylist for the “True First Documentary: Shirley Chisholm.” “I had a dream and I went after it regardless of the obstacles” she states with confidence. One of the biggest struggles was overcoming any insecurities regarding physical appearance. “I’m a plus-size model, and I don’t fit the established standards for models, but I wouldn’t let them put me in a box.”However, along with her talent, Da’Keisha’s beauty is also unmatched. She didn’t always feel beautiful. “I had to grow into that. I remember looking in the mirror and telling myself that I am beautiful, amazing and talented.” Day after day she repeated those words to herself of affirmation that she could be anything that anyone else could be, or even better. The more she said it out loud, the more she KNEW and BELIEVED those powerful truths.
